People and visitors alike joined FEW’s monthly meeting on June 8th to know the tale of Japanese war brides, an account usually overlooked and untold. We welcomed Lucy Craft, a filmmaker and previous limited user in the 80s, to show their concealed tales. Being a child of 1 war that is such, Lucy’s life is connected with Japan. As well as two ladies with similar backgrounds — Karen Kasmauski and Kathryn Tolbert — Lucy decided to result in the documentary “Fall Seven Times, get fully up Eight: japan War Brides” to unravel their moms’ stories.
